A satisfied customer from the USA: |
|
|
|
I have recieved my lure machine, and it
is exactly what i wanted.
It can go slow and controlled for training puppies, or get out
in front of grade A racing whippets.
I can set up and practice my dogs completely by myself finally-
i am very impressed, and the customer service is great too.
Thanks Thilo! |

Cursing-machines usually have a starter
motor to pull the lure. Starter motors have about 2shp
- enough power to accelerate a men with 160lbs to a
speed of 50mph and more.
We are not shure if you really need so much power,
because we pull a lure (fox tail) with a weight of 3-4oz.
Because of this we decided to use a smaller engine, with less
power consumption but able to accelerate the lure
to the same speed.
Our engine is harmonized with power needed to pull the lure.

To control speed the old-fashioned
coursing machines use two different methods. The first
method is - switching power on, that means always max.
power and to regulate the speed by using a brake. Nobody
is driving a car in this way. The second way is switching
the machine on, and if the lure gets to fast switching
it off and on again and so on. Electronic power control
would be possible but to expensive because the starter
motors a to strong and need to much power.
We use an electronic power control system, because our engine is
not oversized and needs less power. That means we control
the speed exactly all the time to maintain the same
speed the dog is running or to accelerate to a higher
speed when the dog is shorten the corner of the course.
So no power is wasted. |
